Contemporary Artist Working Across installation and painting
Caitlin Heffernan lives in Brighton, working out of a studio in Saltdean. She is an artist and curator who works across installation, soft sculpture and painting and has received grants, commissions and residencies nationally and internationally.
Her practice is rooted in site-specific installation. She has recently been working with The National Trust and the Unravelled project (in which she is an artist and curator ), with a series of exhibitions responding to history and place. Unravelled’s latest project has been working with The London Wetland Centre, focusing on climate change, conservation and our relationship with birds and their habitats.
Recently she has developed a series of paintings that draw on her interest in the uncanny, sense of place, histories, folklore, environment and interspecies. You can find these in the painting section of this website.
